Helping to empower the youth

This past summer we partnered with Acadiana Workforce Solutions and employed youth from the community. We were able to teach them wrap around skills that they can use to obtain employment and in the process they learned what running a nonprofit is all about. All 4 students certified in ServSafe. Our staff practiced interview and entrepreneurial skills, made vision boards, worked in our café and went on multiple educational field trips.
