Pathways to Success
Pathways combines the message of overcoming obstacles with perseverance and hard work to inspire the next generation of leaders to pursue their goals with hope and courage.
Each speaker has their own personal success stories and testimonials of career professionals with relevant discussion about the importance of:
- Attending school and doing your best to learn.
- Staying motivated and pursuing higher/post education opportunities
- Being kind to your classmates and sharing your voice for justice
- Prioritizing health and wellness and staying away from harmful substances
This parish-wide program has been around for years, pre-covid, and has inspired students to go after their goals and reach for the stars! Many participants that have experienced a Pathways presentation have gone on to earn scholarships for college, trade school, and military careers.
Participants can enjoy hearing stories that are real from people that know the community and have worked hard to become professionals. After session Q & A allows students to discover more about how they can get on their own pathway to achieve success!
Through NPAI, Pathways can provide mentors that continue to motivate and support students as they progress through school and journey into their college and career endeavors.

Apprenticeship Program
In partnership with the local one-stop career center, NPAI students/trainees experienced a Summer Internship/Apprenticeship program, which uses an “earn and learn” strategy, and provides technical classroom instruction before/in tandem with a hands-on experience where apprentices are able to pursue their chosen pathway and put book knowledge into action. Mentors will provide leadership skills and help to guide students in positive and productive life and career choices as they learn about their job industry. Creating a holistic social, mental, physical and emotional support system will stabilize student outcomes as they gain a skills increase throughout the program. Upon completion, lasting relationships, work experience, credibility, confidence, lead to nationally recognized credentials and new workforce opportunities.
