Kristin Moore

Mrs. Kristin Moore, M.Ed., is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment with over 20 years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership. A proud graduate of Grambling State University (B.S.) and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (M.Ed.), she has spent the majority of her career serving the community of Abbeville, Louisiana.

Her professional journey includes 10 years as an elementary teacher, 7 years as an assistant principal at LeBlanc Elementary School, and 3 years as an Information Systems Facilitator for the Vermilion Parish School System. These roles have equipped her with a deep understanding of educational systems and the unique needs of youth in underserved communities.

As the Director of Youth Initiatives for The Nehemiah Projects of Acadiana, Mrs. Moore has been instrumental in developing and launching Pathways Forward, a signature program aimed at empowering young people. Since it’s inception, the program has impacted nearly 100 youth across the Acadiana region through monthly empowerment meetings, college tours, and after-school programming.

Her passion for this work stems from her own lived experience. Growing up labeled as economically disadvantaged and attending underperforming schools, Mrs. Moore understands the resilience and support it takes to overcome barriers. She is committed to inspiring and equipping young people—especially those who share similar challenges—to dream big and achieve greatness.

Mrs. Moore’s lifelong dedication to youth development, coupled with her leadership and vision, continues to transform lives and strengthen communities across Acadiana.
